New office signals Praetorian’s accelerated growth in the cybersecurity market and a strategic investment to attract top technical talent
Praetorian (http://www.praetorian.com), a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions, today announced the expansion of its Austin headquarters. The move, which quadrupled the firm’s downtown office footprint, is part of a broader strategy to streamline operations and accommodate its continued growth in the cybersecurity market. The expansion announcement follows last month’s executive appointment of Praetorian’s first chief operating officer, Peter Najera.
“Praetorian’s new headquarters expansion can be directly attributed to the 214 percent growth rate we experienced over the last three years and it signals my confidence in our people to continue distinguishing the firm’s value proposition from the competition,” said Nathan Sportsman, founder and CEO of Praetorian. “We are rapidly climbing up the ranks as the cybersecurity firm of choice, and moving into this larger office space reflects the trust and confidence our customers place in us.”
As a collective of highly technical security engineers and developers, Praetorian’s new office expansion is also part of a strategic investment to attract and retain top talent in one of the most competitive job markets—cybersecurity. In 2017, the firm plans to increase the company’s overall headcount by 50 percent and complete additional key leadership appointments.
“Our customers are the top priority, and the caliber of our people is the main reason we deliver value that exceeds client expectations every time,” said Peter Najera, COO of Praetorian. “While recruiting mission-driven talent, we recognize the need to provide a collaborative and inspiring environment that allows a growing team to have an impact.”
Praetorian’s new headquarters is in the Central Business District (CBD) adjacent to the Four Seasons Hotel, featuring unparalleled views of downtown Austin, Lady Bird Lake, and the Congress Avenue Bridge. The CBD is defined by downtown high-rise buildings, vibrant restaurants, and what is becoming the most desirable location for an exploding technology sector business community.
The new space was thoughtfully designed by one of Austin’s most lauded firms—STG Design—featuring open workspaces to drive employee engagement, satisfaction, and productivity.
